The ScanOr Plus Remote Meter Reading Device is a device that
has been developed based on over 8 years of experience with
remote meter reading devices. It is a cost effective solution that
provides for consumer security and retailers accurate and timely
reads.

The ScanOr Plus Unit is available as single rate, two rate or
optionally 2 inputs. It is available to be used with any Open Collector Pulsing Output Meter be it single or polyphase.

When the unit is commissioned it is programmed with the pulse
input value, start register value and meter number. The meter
number and current register is available on the LCD screens at
all times.

All meter register data is stored locally within the terminal cover
enclosure with the register data being sent to the remote LCD
display unit every 60 seconds, (this can be modified). By having
the remote LCD display "dumb" if the wire between the meter
and remote unit is "tampered", when it is reconnected the "current" correct readings will be displayed on the remote LCD.

A significant benefit of the ScanOr Plus is that the unit is able to
be manually read or alternatively "electronically" read with either
an equipped handheld computer or a stand alone ScanOr Reader.
