Eaton's SMP Substation automation platform combines all the functions required by modern automation systems including innovative functionality, high reliability and scalability in a single powerful package. In addition to providing data concentrator, protocol translator, event collector and logic processor functions, the SMP Substation automation platform features an integrated HMI and facilitates secure remote access for maintenance to substation and field devices, reducing operating costs and increasing productivity.
Eaton’s substation-grade SMP distributed I/O platforms of the SMP IO-2000 series are specially designed to meet the requirements for distributed I/O in modern utility substation automation systems. This family of products is Linux-based and includes the evolutive SMP IO-2230 platform which supports binary inputs, binary outputs and analog inputs and the SMP IO-2330 system, with four models pre-mapped to specific I/O configurations. All models communicate over serial RS-485 or TCP/IP using fibre or copper Ethernet and can be integrated with the SMP Substation automation platform or used as standalone I/O modules that connect directly to a master station.
Eaton’s new SMP™DA-3050 is a powerful automation platform that combines multiple functions into a single product to provide secure and reliable data acquisition and management. Its compact and versatile design makes it an excellent edge intelligence node for distribution utilities. It is available in four (4) models.
